Mapleton youth wins Arbor Day tree poster contest

Emma Beach, a fourth-grader at Mapleton Elementary, recently won the Sweepstakes Award for the Utah Arbor Day Tree Poster Contest. 

r The Utah Elks 4th annual “Music from the Heart” Veterans helping Veterans fundraiser is Saturday March 12th at the Spanish Fork Arena Ponderosa Building. Remember 100% of the funds raised go to the programs to serve our veterans. From the money raised last year over 800 Veterans and their families were helped!

One of the new programs is the Little Warriors Camp! This program serves kids who have lost a parent killed in action or committed suicide due to PTSD. The Utah Elks wants to help our Veterans and they ask for your support.r

There will be music from local musicians, vendors will be selling crafts or offering information for Veterans on education, benefits, mental health and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Sandwiches, drinks and chips will be on served for lunch.  All Veterans eat free.
