The Week Ahead
Pavement work to Main Street is completed!
Installation of crosswalks and stop bar striping at some intersections will not be completed until after the Fiesta Days celebration.
No work is expected to take place on Main Street during the Fiesta Days celebration.
Crews will return on July 26th to finish any remaining details.
Restricted Parking on Main Street
Parking restrictions are in effect along Main Street whenever traffic control barrels and cones are being used for construction activities.
UDOT Main Street Rehab Phase • Reconstruct existing pedestrian ramps from 3rd South to 10th North • Add second northbound right turn lane from Main Street to 10th North • Curb and gutter work at 10th North and Main Street • Replace storm drain between 8th and 9th North along northbound lanes • Reconstruct driveway approaches between 5th and 6th North • Replace one and a half inches of asphalt from 3rd South to 10th North
Work consists of replacing one and a half inches of pavement from 10th North to 3rd South along Main Street, and the addition of a second northbound right turn lane at 10th North. In addition to replacing the roadway surface, crews will reconstruct existing pedestrian ramps throughout the project. Curb and gutter, storm drain and driveway approaches will be replaced or repaired at specific locations.
During this project on-street parking will be affected in the area(s) where crews are working. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained during business hours. There may be short delays when crews are removing or replacing pavement, or trenching in front of driveway approaches.
Nighttime work Includes: Milling operations to remove pavement during the road rehabilitation phase. Replacing the storm drains between 8th and 9th North.
Daytime work Includes: Utility work, work to pedestrian ramps and asphalt paving operations.
