r The Utah Elks Association will present its sixth annual veterans fundraiser, “Music From the Heart,” on Saturday, March 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ponderosa Building located in the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds, 475 S. Main, Spanish Fork. Admission is $2.

The public is invited to attend this event, which wil raise money for various veterans programs. There will be a live music show as well as an appearance by special guest MSG Gordy Ewell (RET), a Silver Star and Purple Heart recipient. Ewell is a motivational speaker and combat-wounded warrior who has authored four books. He was exposed to eight IED blasts, the eighth of which ended his military career.

Through this event, the Elks are able to provide funding for programs such as Little Warriors Camp, a camp for children who have lost a military parent, and the Mervyn Sharp Bennion Central Utah Veterans Home in Payson.
