Mapleton youth wins Arbor Day tree poster contest

Emma Beach, a fourth-grader at Mapleton Elementary, recently won the Sweepstakes Award for the Utah Arbor Day Tree Poster Contest.

Provo Elks Lodge #849 is raising funds for the “Little Warriors” project with a benefit golf tournament. The fundraiser will be held Saturday, October 07, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at East Bay Golf Course & Provo Elks Lodge (1860 South East Bay Blvd Provo, UT).

The event is limited to 24 teams. A luncheon and Chinese auction will follow at the Provo Lodge, 1000 S University Ave. Special guest Kolby Gleave, Country Western singer will provide entertainment.

The participation price is $45. We are graciously accepting donations, and selling Hole Sponsorships, $250 each.

100% of the funds go to the “Little Warriors” children of military members killed in action or by suicide.

All donations must be made out to: Provo Elks #849 and in the “memo” please write “Little Warriors”

Donations and hole sponsorships need to be in by September 15th.
