Sara Barber, Caroline Howard, and Amy Huhtala from Salem Junior High will have the honor of presenting at this year’s National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Conference in St. Louis.
“Teachers are very engaged in their profession,” Ms. Huhtala said of this opportunity. “We are continually striving to enhance our instruction by seeking out the latest research and sharing our own research and data with English teachers nationwide.
Ms. Huhtala explained that the teachers will be presenting on the co-teaching model at Salem Jr. High School.
“It’s one of a kind,” she said. “Each year, we work to make it better. We have data that shows how our students have increased their reading scores as a direct result of this intervention class.”
Congratulations to those teachers who will be presenting! Thank you for being Nebo Heroes!
