Kick-off the season at a community lighting ceremony

Get in the Christmas Spirit by attending one of the many community lighting events in South Utah County.

Pond Town Christmas Lighting Ceremony

When: Nov. 23 at 6 p.m.

Where: Knoll Park, 150 W. 300 South, Salem

Help usher in the season at Salem Pond. The Youth Council will be giving out free donuts and hot chocolate, after the ceremony there will be a free Christmas Concert at the Community Center.

Peteetneet Christmas Lighting Ceremony

When: Nov. 23 at 6 p.m.

Where: Peteetneet Museum, 10 S. 600 East, Payson

Though the tree lighting begins at 6, festivities start earlier with the annual Santa Dash, starting at 4:45 p.m. and Caroling beginning at 5:30. Complimentary hot chocolate and donuts will be served. Please bring one non-perishable food item for the local food pantry.

Mapleton City’s Tree Lighting, Wreath and Christmas Festival

When: Dec. 3 at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Mapleton City Park, Maple Street and Main Street, Mapleton

Fun abounds at this holiday kick-off. Enjoy a tree lighting, Santa, a holiday wreath display and silent auction, a gingerbread house contest and display, the Mapleton Elementary Christmas Choir, food trucks, hot chocolate, s’mores, and a snapshot contest.

Spanish Fork Main Street at the Winter Lights Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony

Lighted floats will parade down Main Street from 900 N to 100 S, around the Library Park and end at 100 E Center St. After the parade, see the tree lit on Main Street.

Santaquin Parade of Lights

When: Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.

Where: Main Street, Santaquin

This year's parade theme is "Hometown Christmas Magic" as lighted floats usher in the Christmas Season on Main Street.
