Mapleton youth wins Arbor Day tree poster contest

Emma Beach, a fourth-grader at Mapleton Elementary, recently won the Sweepstakes Award for the Utah Arbor Day Tree Poster Contest.

The Utah PTA Region 10 announced their Reflection winners that will advance to the state level. Annually, thousands of students will reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, 3-Dimensional Art, and Visual Arts. The program welcomes, free of charge, all students from all grades and abilities to explore the arts.

This year, students were invited to create an original work of art on the theme “Heroes Around Me”. Nebo School District thanks all those that participated and received recognition. Nebo was well represented by many talented students. Congratulations to the following students on winning and being a Nebo Hero.
