Teams receiving these grants are: Cache Valley Clay Crushers, Logan UT - $19,632.00 Riverton Shooting Team, Riverton UT - $11,371.00 Wasatch Wing & Clay Youth Shooting Team, Cedar Fort UT - $5,470.00 Skyline X, Spanish Fork UT - $10,000.00 Ogden Clay Dusters, Ogden UT - $819.00
"The Cache Valley Crushers, a youth shooting team from Logan, Utah received a generous endowment check from the MidwayUSA Foundation," said Jeff Nostrom, Head Coach of the Cache Valley Crushers. "The Crushers have been a member of the MidwayUSA Foundation team endowment organization for many years. The MidwayUSA Foundation helps to fund youth shooting clubs all across the US. The basic philosophy is that they help clubs who help themselves. The Crushers have been contributing to their account from various fundraisers for years."
The Crushers currently have 35 members. They use their endowment money for shooters to compete in competitions paying for both entry fees and shells. "Each year with the help of the endowment," Nostrom continues, "the coaches plan the years activities based on those existing funds. Without the help from MidwayUSA, the competitions would be much more limited or more expensive for the families. Thanks to the Potterfield's for creating the MidwayUSA Foundation."

The MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment Program gives a community the ability to financially support a competitive youth shooting sports program. Like other sports, shooting teams provide wonderful opportunities for students to make friends, develop confidence, and learn discipline and leadership skills. The MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowments provide financial support to high school and college level youth shooting sports teams across America. As 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations made to the MidwayUSA Foundation are tax-deductible and thanks to the generosity of Larry and Brenda Potterfield, all donations in 2019 are matched.
“Our teams have undertaken tremendous fundraising efforts for their MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment Accounts over the past several years,” said Brian Beard, President of UTYESS. “Teams that have an account balance in their MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment account are eligible to request a grant of 5% of their balance once per year. The more fundraising the team does for their team endowment, the higher their grant amounts become. Donations made to the endowment accounts remain there in perpetuity, and are eligible for quarterly earnings. Fundraising today means funding every year for as long as the team exists.”
"We are thankful to the MidwayUSA Foundation for their support of youth shooters in Utah," Tanner Voorhees, Utah Youth Leader, Age 16.
Other Utah youth shooting sports organizations not part of the UTYESS program to receive grants are: University of Utah (Air Rifle, Pistol, Smallbore Rifle) - $4,487 Utah Military Academy Thunderbirds (Air Rifle) - $4,484 About MidwayUSA Foundation
