Chris grew up in Orem and graduated from Utah Valley University with an Accounting Degree in 2008. He loved to play paintball and worked at the East Bay Post Office until 2012. In 2011 he started Been Served, Pay Forward a company that produced business cards, vinyl lettering, and promoted service. Eventually in June 2012 Serve Daily newspaper was created and the company changed names.
Serve Daily has been on a continual growth pattern as people come to realize that it is much more than a newspaper, it is promoting a way of life. It promotes that people in fact Serve Daily those around them and remember to show gratitude for any act of service received.
Chris is excited for the growth of the newspaper and ever grateful for all those who have supported the cause via advertising, distribution, photography, writing and submitting articles, etc. Remember to Serve Daily those around you.
Managing Editor: James Davis
James L Davis has served in multiple capacities in the production of weekly and monthly newspapers over the years. From journalist to the photographer, designer, editor, and publisher (usually all at once). He believes a good newspaper should tell the truth and inspire the reader, so “good news stories” should be pursued as doggedly as the bad.
When not involved in the wonderful stress of newspaper production, he enjoys aggravating his children, delighting his grandchildren and confusing his wife.
Colleen Davis is a graphic designer by trade. Some of her job titles have included co-owner of a community newspaper, director of graphic design and freelance designer. Her passion is telling a story through visual elements.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts and more than 20 years of experience in graphic design and marketing I have delighted in the explosion of digital technology in the design world.
Colleen is mother of seven and grandmother of 16, she loves animals and collects a variety of them, including chickens. She loves to garden, cook and being outdoors. She has been a resident of South Utah County for the past seven years and loves the people and their passion in supporting fellow residents of the county.
